As an animal loving nation, we thought we’d share a dog biscuit recipe with you. These biscuits are make with just a handful of ingredients but deliver a taste sensation to your dog! Treat your dog to these lovely home made treats and you’ll be his or her most popular owner!

 

These dog treats are not a meal substitute and should only be given as part of a healthy balanced diet and plenty of fresh clean water should be available at all times.

Ingredients

For the biscuits

  • 300g 10⅝ oz Plain wholemeal flour substitute for oats if your dog is sensitive to wheat (we use Allinson) Plain wholemeal flour
  • 1tsp 1tsp Salt
  • 1 1 Egg(s) (free range)
  • 1 1 Stock beef, chicken or fish stock cube. Customise to your dog's taste
  • 150ml 5⅛ fl oz Water hot

The Method Enter Bake mode

  1. Classic mode Step 1

    Preheat oven to 170 °C (150 °C for Fan Assisted Oven)

  2. Classic mode Step 2

    Dissolve the stock cube of your choice in hot water.

    Ingredients for this step

    • 1 1 Stock beef, chicken or fish stock cube. Customise to your dog's taste
    • 150ml 5⅛ fl oz Water hot
  3. Classic mode Step 3

    Add remaining ingredients

    Ingredients for this step

    • Flour
    • 1tsp 1tsp Salt
    • 1 1 Egg(s) (free range)
  4. Classic mode Step 4

    Knead dough until it forms a ball (approximately 3 minutes)

  5. Classic mode Step 5

    Roll dough until ½ cm thick.

  6. Classic mode Step 6

    Cut into slices or bone shapes (you can purchase a bone shaped cookie cutter to make shapes with)

  7. Classic mode Step 7

    Place dough pieces on baking paper

  8. Classic mode Step 8

    Bake for 20 -25 minutes (or until golden brown)
