A delicious apple and cranberry milk tart. Serve warm or cold. It sinks and becomes denser as it cools. If you eat it hot, you'll need a spoon to scoop up the soft custardy tart, but cold you can pick up the slices in your hand, if it hasn't vanished long before then!

Method

  1. Butter a 23cm pie dish and preheat the oven to 170°C (fan 150°C, gas mark 3).

  2. Mix together the flour, milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, melted butter and salt to form a smooth batter.

  3. Pour into a prepared pie dish and top it with apple slices and dried cranberries. Sprinkle the cinnamon over the top

  4. Bake for 45 minutes.
