These indulgent black forest pancakes are a great way to surprise a loved one with breakfast in bed or the perfect way to end a delicious dinner party. The pancakes have an extra twist served with gooey cherry jam, chocolate sauce and a mixture of berries.

Method

  1. Add together all of the ingredients in a food mixer and blend until fully incorporated and smooth.

  2. Grease and heat a large frying pan and then carefully pour some of the batter mix in.

  3. Heat gently until bubbles begin to appear on the top of the pancake, then carefully flip the pancake over to cook the other side. Cook for a further minute then serve.

  4. Keep the pancakes covered whilst you cook the remaining ones.

  5. Serve the pancakes with a scoop of cherry jam and berries, then drizzle generously with chocolate sauce.
