The BBQ doesn't have to be used just to grill your burgers and hotdogs, try grill some beautiful fresh fruit with a dusting of cinnamon sugar. These work wonderfully served with creamy ice cream or even with this zesty cream accompaniment.

Method

  1. Mix the Unrefined Golden Icing Sugar with the ground cinnamon; evenly distribute the spice through the sugar.

  2. Cut the fruit in half and dust the cut sides with the icing sugar.

  3. Place on the BBQ or griddle pan and char for around 5 minutes. This will give you delicious rich and crunchy caramelisation to the fruits.

  4. Serve with ice-cream or make a zingy cream to cut through the fruit by whipping 100ml double cream, 125ml mascarpone, juice and zest of one lime and a teaspoon of golden caster sugar. Beat until smooth and serve alongside the warm fruits.
