About the bake
Everyone will love this rhubarb crumble recipe. If you fancy putting a twist on the classic why not add orange rind and juice or chopped stem ginger to the rhubarb or add a handful of chopped nuts to the crumble for a tasty variation.
Method
Step 1:
Preheat the oven to 190°C (170°C fan, gas mark 5).
Step 2:
Cut the rhubarb into 5cm chunks and place in a shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with the sugar and 3 tbsp water.
Step 3:
To make the crumble place the butter, flour and sugar in a mixing bowl and rub the butter into the flour with your fingertips until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Step 4:
Spoon onto the rhubarb and bake for 35-45 mins until golden brown.

- 3 tbsp Unrefined golden granulated sugar

- 125g Allinson's Plain White Flour
- 75g Butter (unsalted)
- 50g Unrefined demerara sugar

I made this but added desiccated coconut to the crumble mix. It was delicious.
