Mmmm...homemade pizza. There isn't anything like it that you can buy, but what do you do if you've whipped up some pizzas and you have made extra/too much, how do you store it? Freeze it, and then you could have homemade pizza whenever you like!

Check out our favourite Pizza Dough recipe for inspiration.

Method

  1. Step 1:

Make the dough as per the recipe and let it rise as normal

  2. Step 2:

Roll the pizza dough in to balls to the size you would use to make one pizza (the size will vary depending on whether you're making individual pizzas or a sharing pizza)

  3. Step 3:

Lightly coat each dough ball with olive oil

  4. Step 4:

Put the dough balls in a freeze bag, squeezing all of the air out before sealing. We recommend putting each ball in its own bag to prevent them sticking together.

  5. Step 5:

Pop in the freezer for up to 3 months.

  6. Step 6:

When you want to use it, let it thaw for at least 12 hours. When you're ready to bake, let it come to room temperature for 30 minutes before stretching it out.
