This rice pudding is so simple to make and perfectly complimented with the addition of sweet fig slices.

Method

  1. Place the flaked rice, milk, Half Spoon, vanilla extract, orange zest and juice in a saucepan.

  2. Bring to the boil then reduce the heat to a gentle simmer for 30-35 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. Alternatively, place all the ingredients into a large bowl, cover and microwave on full power for 10 minutes. Stir well and return for a further 10 minutes.

  4. Adjust the consistency with a little milk.

  5. Before serving finish with orange zest and fig slices.
