There are so many vegan millionaire's shortbread recipes out there that just don't work. This recipe took 4 attempts to make and perfect. Juliet Sear made this especially for us and her daughter, who is vegan, taste tested it for us and gave a glowing report.

Millionaire's Shortbread is one of the top recipes on Baking Mad so we have given this classic favourite recipe a twist with the addition of a yummy Chocolate Orange topping.

To add a golden colour to biscuits and cookies, use light muscovado sugar instead of the caster sugar in the base mixture. This version then takes it to the next level! Top it with Cadbury's Mini Créme Eggs to make the ultimate indulgent Easter tray bake. Millionaire's Shortbread with Cadbury's Mini Créme Eggs- you can use bigger eggs if you want.

Millionaire's Shortbread with Cadbury's Créme Eggs

Feast your eyes on this twist on a classic millionaire's shortbread. We've replaced the shortbread base with our favourite brownie recipe, then topped with lashings of freshly made caramel set to perfection. We've finished off with a mixture of milk and dark chocolate melted and set to the top. Our top tip is to cut it upside down, this stops the hard chocolate from squashing the softer layers below.
