About the Mug Cake

Who say's it has to be your birthday to indulge in our fluffy, vanillary Birthday Cake Mug Cake? Whether it's the colourful sprinkles or the dollop of whipped cream on top, this 2 minute microwave wonder is sure to satisfy your sweetest tooth. So, grab a spoon and your favourite mug (microwave safe of course) - this delicious mug cake will be ready before you can say "Netflix & Chill".

*Please note that all microwaves are different and therefore the cooking time can vary. This mug cake was cooked using a 1250W microwave and took 90 seconds on full power. Depending on your microwave the mug cake may take more or less time. The mug cake is ready when it has risen and has started to pull away from the edge of the mug.

    Method

    1. Step 1

      Measure the butter into a microwave-proof mug. Microwave for 20-30 seconds until the butter has melted.

    2. Step 2

      Stir in the vanilla and caster sugar.

    3. Step 3

      Add the flour and milk, and stir together until the cake mixture is smooth.

    4. Step 4

      Stir in the rainbow sprinkles.

    5. Step 5

      Microwave for 90 seconds* until the cake has risen and has started to pull away from the edge of the mug.

    6. Step 6

      Decorate with whipped cream and more sprinkles. Grab a spoon and dig in!

    • For the Topping

      • 1 squirtWhipped cream
