Enjoy a little taste of France where ever you are! Bake and enjoy as part of a relaxed family lunch.

Method

  1. Put the flours, sugar, salt and yeast into a bowl.

  2. Mix to a soft dough with the water.  

  3. Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. Shape as desired and put into an appropriate greased loaf tin.

  4. Cover and leave to prove until double in size.

  5. Brush with warm water and bake in an oven preheated to 220 C (fan 200 C, gas mark 7) and immediately turn the heat down to 200 C (fan 180 C, gas mark 6).

  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
