Try this gluten free rocky road crunch, simple to make and it's so delicious.  The recipe is by Adriana and taken from



  1. Place the chopped up chocolate, diced butter and syrup in a pan and gently melt over a low heat, stirring occasionally until smooth.

  2. When smooth, remove from the heat and allow the mixture to cool for 10 minutes or so.  While this is cooling crush or break up the biscuits into bite size chunks.

    • 140g Gluten Free Digestive Biscuit(s)
  3. Cut the marshmallows into chunks and all the other sweet treats you want into bite sized pieces.

    • as many as you like Mini Marshmallows
    • as many as you like Glacé Cherries
  4.  Line a baking tin  with cling film or a greaseproof liner. We used two loaf tins measuring 11.5 cm x 22 cm, but you can use any size you like as long as the tin has sides.

  5. Add the biscuits, marshmallows and chopped up sweet treats to the melted chocolate mixture and stir gently to combine.  Then pour the mixture into the prepared tin (or tins), level out and chill in the fridge for about 2 hours until set. 

  6. You will have lots of volunteers for licking the bowl and tidying up any bits which didn't quite make it into the tin.  When the mixture is set, cut into squares to serve.  It's quite rich and you will find a little goes a long way.

    I haven't made it, but will certainly do so. I used to love Rocky Road when I was a kid. But what do you mean by 'chocolate bars'?
